What is roleplaying?
Roleplaying is when you take on the personality of a character or characters and in this case, write for them. Their personality and feelings become your own while you are in their form.
What does *insert word* mean?
OOC:
This means Out of Character. You can write this before you make a comment, note, or want to ask a question.
BIC:
This means Back in Character, so you're back to writing as your character again.
PowerPlaying:
Nobody likes having their character controlled by someone else. Simply wait for them to post and wait your turn.
I'm new to RP'ing! Where can I practice?
Ask a member who's been here quiet a while if they'd make a practice thread for just you and them, where you can practice to roleplay and ask them questions. Don't by shy! We were all newbies once.
How do I go about making my own roleplay thread?
Okay, so you've read the rules, the previous FAQ questions and think you're confident to make your own thread. Good for you!
Setting
Choose a board you want to roleplay in. This is where the action will take place while in roleplay mode.
Plot
If you already had something set up, then writing it down is the next step. Otherwise, you can just put that you want it to grow by itself and see where things head.
Characters
If you want it to be a Greasers only, Socs only, Shepard's only etc etc, thread then say something in your first post, don't start flaming or cussing people out later for joining, when you didn't want them to. Other wise I'll get annoyed, and you don't want me annoyed.
I hope that helps. I might add things later if more common questions arise.
